Actor-turned-politician pledges to fix Mzansi

ACTOR vows his acting career is far from over.

This despite his full-time commitment to politics.

Sibonile Ngubane (54) said viewers will see him on the small screens once again - when the time is right.

The actor made his name on productions including Isibaya, Uzalo, Umkhokha: The Curse and Shaka iLembe before becoming a politician in 2025.

He’s now the KZN mobiliser for the uMkhonto Wesizwe (MK) party, leaving many fans wondering if he’ll ever return to acting.

Speaking to Daily Sun, Sibonile said his focus is currently on fixing the country through politics. However, he’ll be back once he feels Mzansi is heading in the right direction.

“I’m aware many people are asking themselves why they no longer see me on their screens. Relax, you’re still going to see me,” he said.

“If you’re in Mzansi and are concerned about the country’s status, you need to play a role. I’m playing mine by helping my country get into good shape.”

He said a lot is at stake in the country, which is why he’s dedicated himself to politics.

Sibonile believes entering the political arena is the only way to help shape Mzansi’s future.
