The acclaimed actor was revealed as the Leopard during the quarter-final episode on Saturday, 5 September.
Tumisho said he normally shares his work with his wife and daughter, but this time he had to keep them in the dark.
This was really tough for me. To keep it quiet was almost impossible, especially from family. You live with these people every day. They’re wondering, ‘Where are you going?’ And unlike any of my other gigs, I couldn’t say, ‘I’ve got this new job. Let’s all be excited together,’ which was quite tough for me as I always share with my family, wife, and daughter.
“So, this time, not being able to tell them was difficult. Eventually, I kind of had to be like, ‘Well, I’m doing this show that I can’t tell you about.’ But even then, leaving the house, you had to leave already masked up,” said the actor.
“Not in the mask that you were going to wear on the show, but, you know, something to cover your face, a hoodie. You had to put on black gloves. I’d always leave the house dressed in black.”.
The 51-year-old Safta-winning star told Daily Sun joining the show allowed him to revisit his childhood dream.
While Tumisho had spent years acting and presenting in front of cameras, The Masked Singer challenged him in a completely different way.

“I had to go into a recording studio and record these famous songs that are such big hits and are done by such amazing and gifted musicians.
“And to even imagine that I could step into their shoes and just try to do their songs justice, I think, was a big leap for me. It was a big challenge,” he said.
I’m grateful to the entire team at Rose and Oaks for their dedication to how they make this show happen. Kayam Tetra, as a musical producer, was absolutely amazing. He’s so talented. He’s so good at what he does. And if it wasn’t for him, none of us would be as good as we were on the show, really,

Although his Leopard journey has come to an end, Tumisho is already preparing to take viewers on another journey.
His new show, Invisible, premieres on M-Net on 14 October at 9pm.
