
SIPHIWE Motha is Radio Bop’s new station manager.
The radio presenter, DJ and technical producer, known as Deejay Siphiwe, told Daily Sun he wanted to bring the station back to its former glory. The 40-year-old said: “I took this position because I want to change things. We’re in the process of applying for an FM licence and working on being added to the DStv bouquet.

“We also want to commercialise the radio station and take it back to where it belongs. My aim as I take this position is to make the station accessible to a wider audience,” he said.
He said he was over the moon to be chosen as the station manager.
“I’m thrilled. This is something I did not expect from the stakeholders of the station. I am not bigger than this brand. I am prepared to fearlessly face every challenge for I know God is by my side and he will guide every step I take.”
Siphiwe said he was qualified for the position as he had a qualification in business management and international marketing. He had also been working in radio for years.
“My career kicked off at YFM on DJ Fresh’s show in 1999. I met Kenny Nkwashu from Kaya FM while I was at Alex FM and he wanted me on his show.

“We did a show together for seven years until I moved to Power FM. I also worked for Metro FM. I later became technical head at Radio BOP while also presenting a show.”
