FREE STATE police in Odendaalsrus have launched a hunt for unknown suspects after they bombed an ATM at a petrol station in Kutlwanong on Tuesday, 9 May.  

According to Captain Stephen Thakeng, at about 2:30 am, an unknown number of suspects wearing balaclavas attacked the petrol station and bombed an ATM.  

“Shots were fired. However, fortunately, nobody was injured.

“The suspects fled the scene. Kutlwanong police are investigating a case of ATM bombing and armed robbery for further investigation,” Thakeng said.  

Anyone with information that can lead to the arrests of these armed robbers is requested to call Lieutenant Colonel James Mahlatsi from the Provincial Organised Crime Unit on 073 453 8990 or Crime Stop number 08600 10111.
