WINTER months and rainy days will never be the same for an 82-year-old gogo who finally received her new house after 29 years of waiting.

Gogo Philda Vaaltyn from the Raymond Mhlaba area in Kwazakhele in Nelson Mandela Bay, who lived in a rundown shack, received her new home from the Eastern Cape Human Settlements Department on Tuesday, 9 May.

The gogo will share her new home with her son who is living with a speech impediment. The family is dependent on social grants.
