SUNWHEELS took a VW Polo R-Line 1.0 TSI DSG for a good spin and got to taste the most loved and most wanted car the world over.

While not many changes were done on the exterior and interior of the car, a lot was done to give it more power and this changed the whole driving and handling experience of the car.

The new LED lighting changes the whole appeal in the front and rear appearance, which makes it look more sharp and desirable. The 17-inch Bergamo alloy wheels add to the beauty of the side profiling of the car.

Inside it looks pretty much the same as the previous models with a few high-tech changes designed to improve driver experience in the car.

High resolution touchscreen is a game-changer in the Polo TSI, but remember the one I was driving has all optional features fitted which makes it a wonder.

These fitted options include tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof, Beats sound system with six speakers and a Discover Media infotainment system (navigation, wireless App-Connect, voice control, inductive mobile charging and multi-colour digital cockpit Pro).

Light LED matrix headlamps include dynamic light assist, dynamic headlight range control and LED rear lamps.

It comes with a comfort park package including keyless entry, park assist and rear view camera. The safety package for the DSG includes travel assist with adaptive cruise control with speed limiter and lane assist, pedestrian monitoring and front assist. The engine performance is boosted by a 1-litre Turbo engine developing 85kW at 5000-5500rpm power and 200Nm at 2000 to 2500rpm torque yet keeping it reasonable with the pocket with a 5,4 litres consumption per 100km travelled.

Polo remains the most loved and with the R-Line now, expect it to be in the game for quite sometime.

Pricing
