ACTOR feels he has lost his "soul twin".

Zenzo Ngqobe, who rose to fame alongside Presley Chweneyagae, has been sharing the pain of losing his friend on social media.

The pair has been inseparable since their breakout roles in Tsotsi and continued to work together on various projects including Menda City and The River.

Zenzo (41), who referred to Presley as his soul twin, hasn't been posting much on social media until he passed away and has been using his social media to pay his tribute.

He also released a statement saying Presley was more than just a friend.

"When the time is right, when my heart is steady and my hands stop trembling, I will sit down and write you a tribute you truly deserve. Right now, I am shattered, in disbelief, shaking, teary. Trying to gather pieces of a world that suddenly feels dimmer without your light.

"Presley Chweneyagae was more than a friend. He was my brother. My co-star. My fellow warrior in this beautiful, brutal journey we call art. We began not on the world stage, but on home soil Mahikeng as wild-hearted boys chasing dreams bigger than we could fully comprehend," he wrote.

"Drama classes, dusty roads, early laughter, youthful rebellion we shared it all. Before the world knew our names, we knew each other's hearts."

He went back to their time in Tsotsi and said they carried each other through the Oscar-winning film.

"When Tsotsi happened, it wasn't just a career milestone, it was a sacred moment. A brotherhood sealed forever on and off screen. From there, life swept us into Gauteng and again, we shared more than ambition. We shared space, struggle, hunger and hope.

"We carried each other through sleepless nights and long auditions and later into fatherhood and manhood - each step a testament to growth, grit and grace," wrote Zenzo.

Presley passed away on 27 May, aged 40. His funeral service will take place at the Akasia Community Hall in Pretoria on Saturday, 7 June.
