ACTRESS Letoya Makhene is allegedly reeling in pain.
This after she learned that one of her baby daddies spent three days in police holding cells with her kid.
The baby daddy cannot be named to protect the kid's identity.
The former Generations: The Legacy actress and singer was informed of the incident via a WhatsApp message at the start of the February 2026.
In the message, which Daily Sun has seen, it was alleged that the man slapped and punched a woman on 1 October 2025 in front of her 14-year-old son while Letoya's son and her daughter were playing outside.
The man reportedly got angry after she forgot to order lunch food after promising to do so.
The message read:
"He furthermore almost strangled me to death and as a result, I was unconscious for about 10 to 15 minutes."
When the woman regained consciousness, she allegedly retaliated by damaging several household items, including his phone, TV, kettle, jug, LED lights and the windows.
"Although I am not proud of my actions, I am not apologetic either. I had reached my breaking point," she wrote.
She claimed her left arm is partially paralysed as a result of being beaten and almost strangled and needs surgery.
"My vocal cords have been affected due to being strangled and left unconscious for 10 to 15 minutes. Eating a full meal causes a lot of strain as it is difficult to swallow on most days," she said.
The police were called to the scene, and the man was slapped with attempted murder and assault to cause grievous bodily harm charges.
He reportedly opened a countercharge of malicious damage to property against the woman.
She wrote:
"From 1 October to 9 October, we were detained at Mondeor Police Station and Sun City prison. The first two days, he decided to go into the holding cells with my child while I stayed in a cell with other men because he was afraid that the information would get to the elders in Glenvista, that being his parents. He has always managed to put up a facade of who he really is and I need that mask to come off hence I have decided to expose him for who he really is."
The message also alleged that the man later withdrew the case against her, but she has not withdrawn hers.
It was further claimed that the woman was pregnant with the man's twins but decided to terminate the pregnancy.
"I refuse to raise kids with a man that is self-centred, selfish and utterly vile," read the message.
The woman pleaded with Letoya to go to children's court to take her child away from the man.
"With that said @Letoya Makhene, may I kindly request that you revisit your case at the children's court. (Name withheld) is not fit to be a father to any kid. He is an abuser and potential murderer. I fear the more (name withheld) is exposed to this behaviour, the more he will be accustomed to it thinking it's okay when it's not. He needs to be removed from him immediately," read the message.
Letoya confirmed receipt of the message and said she and her family were dealing with the matter.
"But I need to be financially in a strong position so that when I take the kid, I'm able to provide for him. The previous negative publicity has done a lot of damage to my career because no one in the industry wants to touch me," she said.
Letoya's baby daddy has confirmed he was arrested following a domestic violence incident, but the charges were eventually dropped.
"If I assaulted her, why am I not in jail?" he asked.
He also revealed that household items were damaged during the incident. Although he initially opened a case, he later withdrew it.
"I later obtained a protection order, but the police couldn't serve it because they don't know where she lives," he said.
He added that he is aware the pregnancy was terminated.
National Prosecuting Authority South Gauteng spokesman, Abram Mohlatlole, confirmed that the cases were withdrawn.
"The matter was resolved through alternative dispute resolution," he said.
