The heartfelt Afro-pop track is already making waves.

KARABO Sejojo, popularly known as Jojo, is trading reality TV fame for the recording studio, and fans love it.

The 27-year-old breakout star from Big Brother Mzansi Season 5, who made it to the Top 5 and captured hearts through her authenticity and charm, has officially launched her music career.

Jojo, who hails from Bloemhof in the North West, dropped her debut single Ntliziyo Yami on 19 April.

The heartfelt Afro-pop track is already making waves.

She announced the single's release and shared it on her social media page.

"From your screens to your speakers… my heart is in every word of this song. Ntliziyo Yami is finally here, my official debut single and the beginning of a dream I've held close for so long."

Jojo, who is also a pastor's daughter, is pouring her soul into her music.

She said the song reflects her journey, especially the emotional ups and downs of love, heartbreaks, and healing.

"This song is my truth. It's about how my past relationship shaped and left me with so many questions. While I was still in the Big Brother house, I thought everything was fine, that maybe we could fix things. But when I came out, I faced rejection, all because of the choices I made in the house," said Jojo.

She also shared how her music roots run deep.

Growing up, her dad introduced her to jazz, gospel, and Afro-pop, not for entertainment but also for meaning.

"Songs in our home had to have a meaning and purpose. That stuck with me. I'm starting with Afro-pop because I have a story to tell about how love hasn't been easy for me. I know I'm not alone. Sometimes. You have to hit pause, heal, and try again," she siad.

"I'm not boxing myself in. Yes, I can make you fall in love thorugh a song, but I can also lift your spirit in praise. That's why gospel will be a part of my music journey too. Music is about healing, storytelling, and empowerment."

With her powerful vocals and raw honesty, Jojo is more than ready to carve out her place in the music industry, and bringing her fans along for the ride.
