A 38-year-old suspect who was arrested for the alleged murder of his wife has abandoned his bail application in the Thohoyandou Magistrates Court.
It is alleged that the accused, comedian Livhuwani Madadzhe from Mangondi Sidou Village in Limpopo, killed his wife Lindelani Nengovhela and threw her into a hole next to a pit toilet.
“The deceased had opened a case of domestic violence against the suspect, and he was arrested and later released on bail of R1000,” NPA spokeswoman, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi said.
Malabi-Dzhangi said on Friday, 27 January, the suspect and his wife appeared in the Thohoyandou Magistrates Court for a domestic violence case.
She said the wife approached the prosecution, and the case was then disposed of through a mediation process.
