HOUSE of Traditional and Khoisan leaders has endorsed a multi-cultural and traditional pageant, Indoni SA.
Indoni SA and the national house of Traditional and Khoisan leaders signed the memorandum of understanding at Indoni Eco Village in Richmond, KZN, on Saturday, 25 May.
Indoni SA is the only traditional and cultural pageant that promotes the cultures of 11 South African nations in their pageants, a tradition that started more than a decade ago.
Zulu, Mpondo, Swati, Pedi, Xhosa, Sotho, Venda, Khoisan, Thembu, Tsonga, and Ndebele are the kingdoms that are represented when eleven contestants compete on stage about their cultures and pageants normally take place in December after many camp schools.
Indoni SA founder Dr Nomcebo Mthembu said youth development and cultures is always her priority.
"Since I started bringing together the youth from different cultures in Mzansi, I have noticed many good things about the lessons to be given to them.
"We thank amakhosi for coming closer to us and supporting what we are doing and helping us to encourage youth to be part of Indoni SA activities," she said.

Inkosi Bokang Molefe from Nquthu, KZN, said that it was long overdue for amakhosi not to be part of the event, and activities started a long time ago.
"We will anchorage the youth to be part of Indoni SA programmes as we are going back to our homes," he said.
Before Indoni SA does a traditional pageant in December where 11 girls and boys from different kingdoms compete on stage, they start with school camps where the youth from different kingdoms learn about cultures and good behaviour.
During the pageants, each contestant showcases the beauty of their culture by wearing traditional clothes on stage.
