Afro-soul singer Lwazzy prides herself in being unique

The singer, who was born Lwazi Buthelezi from Durban, KZN, said she always makes sure she delivers powerful performances at events.

“Being raised in Durban has taught me a lot about music and how the crowd responds.

“This has helped me a lot when I’m on stage doing what I love and sharing my talent with fans,” said Lwazi.

The 30-year-old singer told SunBuzz that her dreams became a reality when she signed with Iyashisha Entertainment in 2017.

Her single Tiri Tiri launched her professional music career.

She said she has worked with artists such as Master S as her producer for a while on many songs. Some of her music buddies include and Mukabya Junior from Uganda., who they have built a great relationship.

The singer said she’s now pushing her two latest singles Tukuba, which has amapiano elements, and I Got It.

Some of her popular songs include Tomato Pele Pele, Boys and Girls, Sula, Suka, and Tap Tap.

“My other gqom songs Iphixiphixi and Incence are doing very well on radio and TV,” she said.

The musician has big plans for the future.

“In future, I would like to work with Busiswa and Thandiswa Mazwai, because I like their music style,” said Lwazzy.
