MINENHLE “Minnie” Dlamini is spreading her wings in the cut-throat entertainment industry.
At age 32, the Durban beauty is making her debut in acting as a featured star on a comedy film to premier on African cinemas on 31 March next year.
The film titled Honeymoon, which is written and directed by Bianca Isaac, talks about friendship between three women, who have different life challenges.

Minnie plays the role of Lu, who has nice life problems in her marriage.
According to the statement by Figjam Entertainment that produces the film in collaboration with Worthy Films, KZN Film Commission, National Film and Video Foundation and the Department of Trade and Industry, Lu is an adventurous woman who is married to the love of her life and they have started a family.
“But her husband’s overly cautious ways are beginning to suffocate her adventurous spirit,” read the statement.
Minnie was introduced to Mzansi in 2010 when she joined SABC1 music show Live, which is now known as Live-Amp.
Her acting journey includes The Wild, where she played the character of Zinhle Lebone and Rockville where she played Nosipho Bogatsu.
On Honeymoon, she is acting alongside other stars such as comedian Tumi Morake who plays former soapie star and diva Noks, and actress Kajal Bagwandeen who plays fashion designer, Kat, who is scared to stand on her own but rather stay in her fiance’s shadow.

“The world we created starts in the breathtaking KZN, embracing African and Indian cultures. Then it moves to East Africa, Zanzibar, elevating the entire visual experience,” said Mthanji.
