KZN is represented by four contestants. Eastern Cape and the North West are represented by three contestants, respectively.
Northern Cape and Limpopo have two candidates each, and Mpumalanga and Free State have one each.

The participants include graduates, lawyers, teachers, architecture students, a filmmaker, as well as a pilot student.
This year’s rule changes allowed both married women and those with children to take part. Both Jordan van der Vyver and Nicole Eksteen are married, while Rozelle Bester has a five-year-old son.
Some of the participants are no strangers to the Miss South Africa pageant stage, just like Natasha Joubert, who represented the Mzansi at the Miss Universe pageant after making it to top 3 in 2020.
Previously, Van der Vyver (2020), Keaoleboga Nkashe (2022) and Melissa Nayimuli (2020) were placed in the top 10, while Bryoni Govender made it to the top 12 in 2018.
