THE Roast of Pearl Thusi is getting closer.
New panel members, TV personality, Phat Joe, singer Donald and amapiano star, Zee Nxumalo have been announced as the latest stars to join the panel of celebrities who will roast Pearl.
The Comedy Central special, which is served up by Smirnoff Spicy Tamarind, will be recorded at Gold Reef City's Lyric Theatre, south of Joburg, on Thursday, 21 November.
The latest batch of panellists will share the stage with fellow roasters, David Kau, Zodwa Wabantu, Randall Abrahams, Busiswa and Farieda "Pharoahfi" Metsileng.
All the celebs on the panel are set to fire shots at each other while trying to make actress and media personality, Pearl squirm in her seat.
Phat Joe, who has been in the industry for years, said the entertainment business is not for sissies.

"South Africans have a love-hate relationship with our stars. The higher you rise, the harder you fall and believe me, people love seeing you take a tumble. I'm sorry, Pearl I know too much and I'm not holding anything back. I hope we can still be friends," he said.
Zee said people shouldn't be fooled by her youth.
"I intend to more than hold my own on stage among these icons and legends. Will there be any low blows dealt out during the Roast of Pearl Thusi? All I know is it's going to get really, really hot in the roast kitchen and I can't wait to get stuck in and be part of the action," she said.
Donald said he is itching to be unleashed on stage.
"I may be in the business of inspiring and uplifting through music, but I'm not going to hold anything back when it comes to sending up my fellow entertainment personalities. A lot of them have inflated egos and definitely need to be brought down a peg or two," he said.
Monde Twala, senior vice president and general manager at Paramount Africa and lead at BET International, said they've packed the roast panel full of iconic South Africans who have reached the pinnacle of fame.
"They'll take great glee in skewering their fellow celebs. There'll be no topic that's off the table during the Roast of Pearl Thusi, no matter how racy, so we can prepare ourselves for an evening of outrageous fun," he said.
