Gadla "Makhombane" Nxumalo said various people owe him R275 000, which has left him in debt.

He is owed for about seven events he performed at.

The Amatemu Alombhemu hitmaker said the painful part is that the bank might repossess his car for a debt of more than R22 000.

Gadla told Daily Sun it's difficult to mention who owes him as they might abandon him for good.

"I know I've had bad luck getting booked and don't want to fuel it. The sad part is that some of these events are sponsored by government and municipalities.

"According to my understanding, an event that is funded or sponsored must pay within 31 days. It's been over three months for some events and six months for others and there's no communication," he said.

Gadla said that he always thought that committing suicide was a difficult decision, but he has realised it is an easy one.

"I'm a grown man, married with kids, so I will not take my life, but I'm asking myself a big question about how my car is in danger of being repossessed while I'm owed R275 000 by various people. I'm not fighting anyone, but I want to be paid what is due to me," he added.
