MZANSI content creator Ofentse Tsipa has joined The Mommy Club Nairobi.

Ofentse (36), who is now based in Nairobi, Kenya, joined the five mommies of the Mommy Club NBO.

She is the sister of actor Lemogang Tsipa, renowned for his portrayal of Shaka in Shaka iLembe and various other productions.

Ofentse shared on the first episode of the show that she was a Montessori mum and it was inspired by her career as a transformational coach.

What is a Montessori Mum?

What is a Montessori Mum?A Montessori mum is a parent who follows the Montessori philosophy at home. She encourages independence, respects her child's individuality, and creates a calm, prepared environment where the child can learn at their own pace.

What is the Montessori Method?Developed by Dr Maria Montessori, this educational approach focuses on child-led learning

through hands-on activities. It values freedom within limits, practical life skills, and nurturing a child's natural curiosity. Children are taught to think for themselves, not just follow instructions.

"I am all about manifesting magic. My coaching practice has shaped my motherhood journey in the best way possible. The biggest lesson has been to learn to feel my feelings and be present.

"This has helped me walk alongside my kids, seeing them as equals - real human beings with their own thoughts and feelings. Forget the old-school ‘children should be seen and not heard' mindset. In my house, my kids are both seen and heard. Thanks to my coaching background, I am more intentional and analytical about how they are feeling, thinking, and creating for themselves," she said.

Ofentse is married to a Dutchman and calls herself a "global mama".

She is a fan favourite because she also speaks isiZulu on the show.

"We are 100% a multicultural family. My husband is Dutch, with a strong French influence, and I am South African - Tswana with Zulu roots - plus, we have the Kenyan vibe from living here.

"I like to call myself a global mama because we are raising global citizens. My children are growing up with a blend of cultures. We focus on being pan-African and global, aligning our values while adapting to different traditions. For example, we celebrate Christmas the Dutch way but also honour Zulu practices."

Ofentse hopes her kids would be proud of her when they grow up.

"I hope they find inspiration and admiration. I want them to see a legacy of helping people become the best versions of themselves, of authenticity, and of loving life as it is while growing.

"Even though being human means striving for more, I also want them to feel contentment with where they are. I hope they find something peaceful, wholesome, and calm - something that makes them proud to say, ‘That's my mum'," said the reality TV star.
