NEW and aspiring artists to access fresh opportunities.
This, thanks to the Soul Candi Institute of Music & Record Label's new academic cycle launch.
The leading creative education and music industry platform is looking for Mzansi's next big stars.
The launch is supported by a national recruitment campaign to get students to register and nurture the next generation of music talent.
The drive kicked off earlier this month and will run until the second week of February 2026.
It targets aspiring musicians, producers, DJs, singers, songwriters, and music business owners across Mzansi.
In a press statement, the institute highlighted its famous former students.
This list includes world-renowned artists such as Shimza, DJ Zinhle, J'Something, and DWSON, among others.
"The Soul Candi alumni are thriving in diverse career paths spanning music production, composition and songwriting, audio engineering, mixing and mastering, artist management, and a wide range of related creative and business disciplines," read the statement.
New to the training this year is Soul Candi's Live DJ School.
It is designed to fast-track aspiring DJs into the modern live performance space.
"The eight-week DJ & Live Performance course equips students with essential skills ranging from mixing and beat matching to delivering live sets using Ableton Live. This happens in Soul Candi's newly upgraded, soundproofed DJ studios at the Rosebank campus."

The initiative seeks to inspire young creatives to turn their music passion into real careers through digital media, campus events, and alumni success stories.
Sergio Botelho, co-founder of Soul Candi, said they don't only teach music. They also prepare students for the realities of the global music industry.
"This national campaign is about opening doors for talented individuals who are serious about building long-term careers in music, whether as artists, producers, sound engineers, or creative entrepreneurs," he said.
Prospective students will learn about a range of programmes, including music production, DJ performance, vocal training, songwriting, sound engineering, music business, and digital music technologies.
"The campaign also highlights the institute's unique model, which bridges education and industry by giving students opportunities to work on real projects and collaborate with signed artists," they said.
Students are encouraged to apply now to secure a place. Applications and info are available at Scim.co.za or on Soul Candi's official social media platforms.
