THEMBA Ndaba has bagged a new role after the canning of The Queen.

In March, Mzansi Magic announced they were cancelling the telenovela in which Themba starred as Brutus.

The last episode will air on 13 January 2023. But fans will still get to see Themba on BET’s upcoming daily drama, Redemption. The show that will premiere on Monday, 26 September, also features Tina Jaxa, Sthandiwe Kgoroge, Kwanele Mthethwa, Sparky Xulu and Pearl Modiadie. Speaking to Daily Sun, Themba said he knew people loved Brutus but they must expect something different on the new show.

“If they say they are following this show because they want to see Brutus, they will not see him. If The Queen fans want to see a totally different person, they should watch. They will see a mega church, the people in it and more,” . Each person in society will see themselves in this story. We guarantee that.”he said.

Themba said he plays Pastor Simon Zikode, who is in trouble with the law.

“He’s trying to do the right thing, but he can’t,” he said.

“I think that’s the essence of us as people. We always try to do right but the wrong keeps coming in,” he said.

“Every time he goes away from wrong, it gets stronger, so where does he go? This man is trying hard to get out of the mud he’s in.”

Her said he worked hard to bring the new character to life.

“The challenge is to bring out this new person in a believable way, so people must forget I played a different character before. This is a new man who is loving, has a wife and family, and is in the dirt,” he said.
