GAGASI FM has announced that presenter Felix Hlophe will be taking a temporary break from the station.
In a press release issued on Monday, 29 December 2025, the station confirmed that the 49-year-old host of The Uprising will be given time off air for the coming week.
The decision follows allegations of abuse that have been widely circulated on social media.
"This will allow the station to further assess the situation being reported on social media and in various publications, and to give Felix the space to attend to personal matters requiring his attention," the station said.
Gagasi FM said that after this initial period, Felix will proceed on scheduled leave for a further two weeks.
"Gagasi FM will not speculate or comment further while the matter is being addressed through the appropriate internal processes. Felix is expected to return to air on 19 January 2026, following the conclusion of this period. Heazy will stand in as host of The Uprising during this time, and the crossover show will be hosted by Selbyonce and Linda ‘Mr Magic' Sibiya," the radio station said.

Felix has since released his own statement, in which he denied that any physical violence took place. He stated that the claims circulating online were made by an associate of his wife and confirmed that he is seeking legal advice.
"This statement serves to formally acknowledge statements that have been made about me on social media by an associate of my wife. I'm aware of these statements and have referred the matter to my legal representatives for advice," said Hlophe.
The allegations are linked to an incident that reportedly occurred on 24 December 2025, following the public circulation of information relating to Hlophe's personal life.
According to Felix, his wife temporarily left their home with their kids after accepting an invitation from a friend.
"Following the public circulation of news relating to my personal life, my wife accepted an invitation from a friend to take some time away with our children," he added.
