POLYGAMIST Musa Mseleku is back, and this time, nothing is hidden.

Uthando Nes'thembu returns for its ninth season on Wednesday, 4 February.

According to Musa, viewers should prepare for a very different experience.

The Mseleku family is more exposed, vulnerable, and honest than ever before. Everyone involved, including wife number five, must face the truth.

Season 9 premiered on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) and now airs twice a week, on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Musa (50), from Mzumbe in KZN, said the show continues to follow him and his wives - MaCele, MaYeni, MaNgwabe, and MaKhumalo.

This season, MaKhwela, also known as Number 5, is fully part of the story.

"After eight seasons, we are now experiencing something completely different, brought on by the introduction of MaKhwela. The core idea of the family's legacy is being put to the test, and viewers will have a front-row seat to everything," he said.

Despite the pressure and public scrutiny, Musa said it was important to keep sharing his family's journey.

"It's important to keep telling the story because as we grow, the story grows, and it becomes more dynamic.

"Watching my family on television is a great and rare opportunity, but even more so, it makes me realise just how well-known our family is across South Africa and the rest of the continent," he said.

Musa said that this season will be different because everything will be out in the open.

"People should watch this season because it brings something new. For the first time, we see the reactions of all the people involved in the show.

"Nothing will be hidden from them as they get the opportunity to be part of the family and have the right to openly share their opinions. More than that, this season becomes a source of reference for everyone," Musa added.
