ANC mourns death of Thandi Modise's daughter, Tsholofelo Mandisa.
The ANC expressed deep sadness at Tsholofelo's passing.
"Tsholofelo was born under the harsh conditions of apartheid, while her mother, Thandi, was imprisoned for her role as a uMkhonto weSizwe combatant in the fight for South Africa's liberation. Her birth in prison symbolises the immense struggle and sacrifices made by those who fought for the country's freedom.
"Despite these difficult beginnings, Tsholofelo grew into a compassionate and determined young leader. She carried forward the values of justice, equality and service to the people, following in the footsteps of her mother's legacy. The ANC acknowledged her unwavering dedication to the cause and her advocacy for marginalized communities, embodying the revolutionary spirit that defined her family's fight for justice," said the ANC in a statement.
