SEWAGE has turned a road in Lusaka in Mamelodi East, Tshwane, into a river of kak.
The blocked sewage is affecting residents and local businesspeople because of the unbearable stench and kak water that flows ekasi.
Residents said the sewage on the street always bothers them at least three times a year.
They are calling on the city to find a lasting solution to their seemingly unending misery.
Nikkie Motha (33), a resident, complains that the blocked sewage is outside her gate, which makes it difficult for them to walk freely in and out of the yard.
She further said she has two people who are doing business in her yard, a carpenter and a grocery shop, and the stench chases customers away.
Nikkie said she's even concerned that a carpenter and AboMyfriend will dump her and take their businesses elsewhere where there's a better environment.
She said the blocked sewage started on Wednesday, 18 June.

"It started on Wednesday, and it's stinking. We can't open our windows and doors. We are no longer free in our home. Kak is bothering everyone," she said.
She said her tenants are complaining about the stench.
The woman further said if the sewage is not fixed urgently, it will cause more suffering as little kids walk the same road.
Her brother Sabelo Motha (33) said: "We are not enjoying our food and miss the fresh air inside our home. The sewage is making life difficult for everyone."
AboMyfriend worker, David Miekru, said the number of customers is reducing because of the kak and the stench.
City of Tshwane spokesman Lindela Mashigo said: "The city is aware of the complaint, and the sewerage blockage was cleared on Tuesday, 24 June 2025 around 10am."
