WHEN Neo Ramotsoanyane went to the clinic for his problem with urinating, he never thought he would walk out with a 4-5 that no longer works.
The 30-year-old from Bophelong in Vanderbijlpark said he went to Johan Heyns Clinic on 21 January as he struggled to pee.
He said nurses tried to insert a urinary catheter, but couldn't, so they told him to lie on the bed and said they were going to operate on his bladder.
"They operated on my bladder without my consent. When they were done, the one who was doing the stitching held her head and said 'yho we left the razor in the bladder'," said Neo.

He said one of the nurses wanted to rush him to Sebokeng Hospital in her car, but others stopped her. Instead, they waited two hours for an ambulance with the razor still inside his bladder.
"I stayed more than seven hours at the hospital without being helped until I told one of the sisters about my situation. She came back rushing with a doctor who was able to take the razor out. He told me my 4-5 won't work again," she said.
He said the doctor was shocked that Johan Heyns Clinic nurses operated on him as the clinic is not permitted to do surgical procedures.
Neo, who has one child, added that he wants his 4-5 to work again because he still wants more kids.
Sedibeng District health spokeswoman, Porcia Gibson said Johan Heyns Clinic is a 24-hour community health centre and doesn't do surgical procedures.
"The department is aware of Neo's complaint and there's an investigation into the matter," she said.
