MURDER-ACCUSED comedian SABC Livhu has abandoned his bail application.
The 38-year-old, whose real name is Livhuwani Madadzhe, appeared briefly in the Thohoyandou Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 31 January for a bail hearing.
He was bust at the weekend for allegedly murdering his wife, Lindelani Nengovhela (32).
NPA spokeswoman Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi said before the murder, the victim had opened a case of domestic violence against the suspect. He was arrested and later released on R1 000 bail.
Malabi-Dzhangi said on 27 January, the suspect and the victim appeared in the Thohoyandou Magistrates Court for the case and there was a mediation process.

“Both the deceased and the suspect effectively participated in the mediation process, which was initiated by the deceased. On 28 January, the body of the victim was discovered,” she said.
Malabi-Dzhangi said the case was postponed until 23 February for further investigation. The accused has been remanded in custody.
