TENANTS escapes unharmed as devastating fire rips through a 12-room house.
This happened at Lillianton in Boksburg, Ekurhuleni, on Tuesday, 8 July, as one tenant was rushed to hospital after suffering smoke inhalation.
Ekurhuleni EMS Spokesman William Ntladi said Ekurhuleni's Disaster and Emergency Management Services received the emergency call around 1.25pm.
"Upon arrival, initial crews quickly realised the severity of the blaze and called for backup. The large, multi-tenant home was engulfed in flames, with a significant portion of its roof already collapsed," he said.

"Firefighters immediately deployed three attack lines from their engines to combat the inferno. To ensure a continuous water supply, two water tankers were also brought in."
Ntladi said firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze, preventing it from spreading and causing further structural damage to adjacent properties.
Fortunately, no other injuries were reported.
Ntladi said the exact cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
