SUSPECTS, believed to be sex workers and exotic club dancers, were arrested for not having documents that permitted them to live within the corridors of Mzansi.
The club they were operating in was closed for operating without a liquor license.

One of the people who lives in the area said that they're tired of sex workers operating in the area.
"We're happy that these sex workers and others who dance half naked in the club were removed and the place was closed. As residents of the area, we urge the police to come again and check whether they're operating again," she said.

Ward 110 councillor in Midrand, Angie Mphaho, said they are happy about the police's operation.
"I want the area cleaned of corruption. People are taking advantage of running their shops without a licence. Most foreign nationals don't have licences. We found sex workers in the club. These women told me that they sleep with men for money. All these are illegal foreign nationals," she said.
Mphaho condemned such incidents.
She said police must continue monitoring the area, and she will also monitor the situation.
Gauteng police commissioner Lieutenant-General Elias Mawela led Operation Shanela in Midrand.
"These people were arrested for being in South Africa without relevant documentation. There are undocumented migrants, and most of them are from Zimbabwe," he said.
