A MAN (36) is said to have stabbed his girlfriend to death and then hanged himself.
What happened
This happened after he allegedly found out that she was having an affair with her ex-boyfriend, a teacher.
The gruesome incident occurred on Sunday morning, 14 April at about 7am in Ga-Mashamothane Village in Limpopo.
In a Facebook live video seen by Daily Sun, the suspect described how he allegedly killed his girlfriend and shared his reasons.
I killed the girl, she didn't deserve it
"So, I am going to kill myself too, like I killed the girl, she didn't deserve it. The reason I'm posting this live is because I want people to learn that if you are with a man and he goes to work, that does not mean you have to date your ex-boyfriends," he said.
He claimed that his girlfriend could not control herself because of money. When he went to work, she allegedly met her ex-boyfriend.

"I loved her so much and I thought I was going to marry this girl," he said in the video.
Shortly after the incident, he left her body in the teacher's rented place with a chilling message: "Just like you used to f*** her when I was at work, f**** her now, she's all yours."

He said the letter read like this.
Daily Sun has sought to enquire about the behaviour of the teacher accused of dating the pupil.
Mosebjane Kgaffe, the provincial spokesperson for the Limpopo Department of Education, gave a short response: "This is a police matter and has nothing to do with education."
Police take action
Limpopo police spokesman Colonel Malesela Ledwaba explained that police were called to the scene at a rental centre.
"On arrival, they found the body of a woman, who could be in her late 20s, lying outside the rented room with multiple stab wounds. The police received further information that the boyfriend of the deceased had been found hanging in the nearby bushes. They rushed to the scene and found the deceased's vehicle parked on the side of the road and his body hanging from a tree," Ledwaba said.
The motive for the incident is still unknown
According to Ledwaba, it's believed that the boyfriend stabbed his girlfriend and dumped her body at the alleged ex-boyfriend's rental place, then drove to the bushes and hanged himself there.
"The motive for the incident is still unknown, but domestic violence cannot be ruled out. The police have opened a murder case, and investigations are continuing," Ledwaba said.
Limpopo police commissioner Lieutenant-General Thembi Hadebe strongly condemned the incident.
"We are very saddened by the incident and urge members of the community who are struggling with domestic problems to seek help immediately instead of resorting to violence," Hadebe said.
