A LIMPOPO young man seeks justice after he was allegedly gang raped.

The 19-year-old man from Moletjie in Limpopo seeks justice after he was allegedly sexually assaulted by two men on 27 April 2025 at a local liquor outlet.

This incident allegedly occurred after he went to the bathroom.

He said he passed a group of men and on his way back, they invited him to relax with them.

A few minutes later, one of them called him aside before grabbing him to a garage room, where he allegedly started sexually assaulting him.

"When he was done, another one came and continued raping me in the garage. I screamed for help, but no one came," he claimed.

The victim told the Daily Sun that the incident is taking a toll on his mental health.

"I'm not ok physically, emotionally and mentally. I keep having flashbacks of that incident. My mental health deteriorated."

After reporting the matter to his loved ones, he said no one believed him.

"I had to take off my clothes and even take photos to show them my injuries to prove that I was sexually assaulted," he said.

Due to severe injuries sustained, he had to use sanitary towels.

He said he lost his mum in 2010 and was left in the care of his three older siblings.

The victim wants justice to prevail.

"They have to pay for what they've done. They ruined my future. I trusted them because I knew them. One of the suspects accused me of ruining things between him and his wife, but he doesn't care about what they did to me," he said.

The victim's sister (22) said they are not happy with what happened to their little brother.

"At first, we thought he was joking. It was after he showed us the injuries he sustained that we started to believe him. We are going to support him until he gets justice."

LGBTQI advocacy groups condemned this incident and called on communities to rally behind victims of gender-based violence (GBV).

Mac Bopape, director at the Capricorn ignited LGBTQI, said: "We continue to suffer in silence. We are being abused, but we can't come out. We still fear being stigmatised. When we report cases to the police, we are asked uncomfortable questions, and this is secondary victimisation. We call on our communities to believe us and support us like any other victim of GBV."

Police spokesman Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba confirmed that two suspects had been arrested after the incident.

"A case of rape was opened at Phaudi Police Station. Two suspects have been arrested and are in police custody, facing charges of rape. Police investigations are underway. Their court appearance is yet to be determined."
