FAMILY wants justice for their daughter.
This after the seven-year-old was allegedly raped by her 27-year-old uncle in Rethabiseng, Bronkhorstspruit, Tshwane, on Monday, 7 April.
The little girl is currently in hospital.
The suspect appeared in the Bronkhorstspruit Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 9 April, and the case was postponed to Tuesday, 15 April, for a formal bail application.
According to the family spokesman, the incident has left the family and community shocked.
"We want justice. The incident is bad. The mum has been crying ever since it happened. The mum almost collapsed in court when she saw the suspect enter the courtroom," said the spokesman.
He said they have agreed that the family should undergo counselling for trauma.

Meanwhile, the community protested outside the court.
Community leader Vusi Nkosi said the suspect is an animal as no normal person can do such an evil thing.
"We want justice for the little girl. In fact, we want a life sentence for the suspect. No bail for the suspect," he said.
He said the community will continue protesting until justice is seen to be served.
"The community came in large numbers despite the cold and rainy weather. We are heartbroken and angry after this evil incident," said Nkosi.
Gauteng police spokeswoman Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said: "That is a rape case and the suspect was arrested. The matter is before court."
