BISHOP and traditional healer Patrick Chauke said 2024 will be a great year for many people in Mzansi.
He told Daily Sun people had their eyes open, and they now knew better. He said they would stop depending on politics for their day-to-day needs.
He said in 2023 and the previous years, people were depending on other people and politicians for the betterment of their lives.
"Life in 2024 will come with a lot of change in people's lives. In previous years people didn't have an idea about the state of the country in terms of life in general, hence people put their trust and focus in politicians," said Chauke.
"People put their trust in the government. However, people are awake and aware that life is not about anyone but themselves."
He said people would make wise decisions regarding their lives and are more aware of who they are.
"In the previous years, people didn't know what they wanted. They used to shy away from responsibility and depend on the government to sort themselves out," he said.

He said even at homes, people will start standing on their feet again as people are eagerly waiting for 2024 so that they can do what their heart leads them to.
"The problem will be with those who have immersed themselves deeper into politics. People who have given themselves to politics have unfortunately forgotten about their roots and who they are. People need to remember that they were here before politics even existed, and will remain even if politics were to perish," the bishop said.
He said that those who depend on politics would next year realise that it wasn't beneficial to do so.
He said a lot of politicians would go to churches to ask for prayers because when they come across challenges, they already go to church.
"They will come to the realisation that politics is no longer working for them. They will all come back to God because He is the author of everything," he said.
He said that people needed be excited because next year would come bearing good fruit.
