THREE pupils were left with minor injuries while six others escaped unharmed after a crash in Germiston, Ekurhuleni.
The accident involved a Toyota Quantum scholar transport and a VW sedan on Kingfisher Avenue in Elspark on Tuesday, 20 January.
William Ntladi, spokesman for the City of Ekurhuleni Disaster Emergency Management Services, said rescue teams received the call at 7.31am.
Two fire teams from Wadeville and Vosloorus rushed to the scene to help.

The pupils involved were from different schools across the city and all travelling in the same taxi.
"Luckily, no one was trapped inside the vehicles. The Quantum had nine pupils on board. Three sustained minor injuries and were rushed to a nearby medical facility by a private ambulance," said Ntladi.
He confirmed that the injuries were not life-threatening.
"The other six, including the driver, escaped uninjured. The VW sedan driver also walked away without injuries," he said.
Traffic in the area was affected as rescue teams and traffic officials worked to clear the accident scene and investigate the cause of the crash.
