BONOLO needs Mzansi to help her breathe.
She told Daily Sun her life took a rough turn when she was diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in 2019 and how load shedding is making it worse.
She even had to drop out of school in grade 10 this year.
Bonolo Rashule (17) from Klerksdorp, North West said when she reached out on Facebook earlier this year, someone assisted her with a generator as nobody works at home but the petrol is expensive.
"When we have load shedding, I have shortness of breath. My heart beats too fast and I feel pain," said Bonolo.
She said her health affected her studies and her mum decided she should stay home this year.
"At least when I'm home she can take care of me," said Bonolo.
Her mum Martha Rashule (40) said she's unemployed because she has to stay at home and take care of her daughter.
"There's five of us at home and no one works, so things are hard," she said.
"We really need a solar panel. If we can get one, we won't be stressed about buying petrol and my daughter will be feeling better."
