TSHWANE Metro cop in hot water.
This after an alleged rape case was opened against the officer, who is believed to have raped his own relative.
The shocking incident allegedly happened recently at a family gathering inside the family's home in Tshwane.
The matter is handled by the Independent Police Investigative Directorate (Ipid).
Ipid spokesman Phaladi Shuping said: "The incident was reported to Ipid, and the suspect was arrested.
"The matter was supposed to be in court on Monday, 5 January 2026 but the prosecutor wanted to have further consultations, and as a result, the case was not placed on the roll. The accused was released. The consultation will take place on 19 January 2026."

Tshwane acting chief of police commissioner Revo Spies said: "I feel extremely cross and disappointed even though these are allegations. This is the first time an incident of this nature has been reported for almost a year in my tenure in office."
Spies said police are aware of the matter, and it is investigated by Ipid.
"We condemn this to the full extent," he said.
However, he said they'll make sure incidents of gender-based violence are declared a national disaster. They will take all the steps necessary to make sure there is consequence management.
Tshwane MMC for Community Safety Hannes Coetzee said there are internal investigations done regarding cases of such nature.
"We have zero-tolerance when it comes to crime. We are also against those who take tjotjo," he said.
Coetzee further said they don't want any crime at the Tshwane Metro Police Department. A person will be suspended or dismissed.
