The father of two kids, aged 10 and 13, said he wrote a book after being touched by gender-based violence and said he wants to speak to men to change, and women should also know that GBV comes in many forms.
"The issue of GBV in this country is a problem, includes all genders but I strongly believe as men we should also fight against it as much as women do. We need to protect one another and not look away.
"This book tells a story of an HIV positive man who is married and sleeps around with women hiding his status and having unprotected sex. This man says he will die alone the story has a lot to teach and open people's eyes regarding GBV," he said.
Simon said he needs funding of about R8 000 to get the book published.
Currently, he's unemployed and can't raise the money.
