It's alleged that the deceased teen, along with eight other church members, was performing rituals at Luvuvhu River.
According to a witness who spoke to Daily Sun, the tragic event occurred when the girl and five other church members were standing inside the river.

"Suddenly a crocodile attacked, seizing her and swiftly disappearing into the depths of the river with her. The SAPS water wing rescue team later located her body," said the witness.
Vhembe police spokesman Sergeant Vuledzani Dathi said Violate sustained injuries on the right thigh, scratches on the left thigh and on her face.
"She was wearing black tights and red cloths around her waist. All stakeholders were summoned to attend the scene. An inquest docket has been opened and investigation is underway," said Dathi.
The Managa family members were not in a position to comment on the matter when approached by Daily Sun.
