AMAZULU FC have added firepower to their frontline, officially signing experienced striker Thabiso Kutumela on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old forward, fresh from representing Bafana Bafana at the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship in Kenya, brings proven goal-scoring pedigree to the Usuthu squad.
Kutumela, who previously played for Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Maritzburg United, will don the iconic number 10 jersey for AmaZulu.
Club president Sandile Zungu personally welcomed the striker, expressing excitement about the signing.
"We're very pleased to welcome Thabiso Kutumela into the club. He's an accomplished striker. When he was at Maritzburg United, he competed alongside the likes of Bradley Grobler and Peter Shalulile for the league's top goal scorer award.
"Both Shalulile and Grobler are still performing brilliantly for their respective teams, and we trust Kutumela will hit the ground running at Usuthu. We welcome him with warm hands," Zungu said.

AmaZulu currently sit 7th on the PSL log, having played five games so far this season. With a mixed run of results, the club is eager to turn promising performances into goals and climb the standings.
Kutumela's arrival is seen as a key step in that plan.
The president revealed that Kutumela has long been on AmaZulu's radar and will play a pivotal role in coach Arthur Zwane's strategy. With the Fifa international break giving the squad time to sharpen their finishing, Kutumela's experience and composure in front of goal are expected to be vital.
The Limpopo-born striker could hardly contain his excitement at joining Usuthu.
"I'm so happy that this move has finally come about. This wasn't the first time AmaZulu showed interest in me. I remember back when I was at Maritzburg United before joining Sundowns, they enquired about my services.
"It didn't happen then, but I'm glad it's materialised now. My aim is to help the team win trophies and finish higher on the log than last season. In football, anything's possible, and every team has its objectives. Mine is to play my part in achieving them," Kutumela said.
His arrival adds much-needed firepower as AmaZulu look to convert promising performances into goals and climb the Betway Premiership standings.
Fans will be eager to see if Kutumela can replicate his prolific form and become the striking force Usuthu need to challenge for the top honours.
