"The last time we played a game was last week [September 24] against Pirates and we have had enough time to prepare for Polokwane City. So we don’t have any excuses come Saturday," Khune says.
"If we lose, we are out of the tournament and we can’t afford to be out of another tournament in just a couple of weeks."
Promoted City are finding the going tough in the PSL with just one win in six League games, but Khune insists they deserve Chiefs’ respect.
"They didn’t start the season well, but you know when teams play Chiefs they up their game and they will come into this one highly motivated because they won their last game against Ajax," he says.
"We don’t regard Polokwane City as a small team. We are all competing in the PSL and they deserve our respect. We are expecting a tough game," Khune adds.
