Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has urged the media not to start talking to midfielder Andile Jali about the issue of returning to Bafana Bafana.

Jali pulled off another good performance in a Sundowns jersey as The Brazilians swept aside AmaZulu 5-0 in their Telkom Knockout match at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday.

'AJ' was close to winning man of the match award, which was handed to playmaker Gaston Sirino at the end of the game.

Jali arrived at Chloorkop last season surrounded by off-field issues but the Matatiele-born midfielder looks like he has sorted himself out and is fully focused on his football again.

"We should not talk to Andile about Bafana Bafana please. Let him play first, let him finish the match first," said Mosimane.

"He is a good player, he is working hard, body condition looks good. Look at his body. He has sacrificed. He has done well.

"It took time for him to understand the situation at Sundowns. He understands now. He is looking good. We don't have issues. It shows that he is looking after himself. That's what we want."

Mosimane has assured Jali more game time if he continues to work hard at training.

"He has to get himself fit, he has to get himself onto the pitch. As long as he is doing that, he will play. He shows that he is professional. He is not young anymore and we support him," he added.

"We support him. We have backed him. He knows as well that we supported him all the way. It's about time he gives back to himself and then the club. He is coming and he is getting there."
