PSL Telkom Knockout: AmaZulu vs Bloemfontein Celtic

The visitors stormed to a two-goal lead courtesy of strikes from Dumisani Zuma and Vuyani Ntanga but Marc van Heerden and Kulegani Madondo responded for AmaZulu before Bornwell Mwape netted the winner in extra time.

After a scoreless first half, it was the visitors who drew first blood in the 48th minute as Zuma placed his right-footed shot beyond Aubrey Mathibe after he had been set up by Musa Nyatama.

Usuthu responded and came close to finding the equaliser in the 53rd minute but Mwape was denied by a good block from Ruben Cloete after Patrick Tignyemb had spilled a free-kick from Van Heerden.

The visitors were then reduced to 10 men in the 63rd minute when Wandisile Letlabika was sent off after he was shown his second yellow card.

Despite their numerical disadvantage they doubled their lead in the 79th minute when Ntanga, who scored four goals in the Multichoice Diski Challenge recently, scored with his first meaningful touch after coming on as a substitute.

The hosts refused to lie down and reduced the deficit in the 81st minute with Van Heerden beating Tignyemb with a powerful, swerving strike from about 30 yards out.

The goal proved to be significant as Madondo levelled matters just two minutes later to complete the comeback before Mwape scored the winner three minutes into extra time.

Usuthu also finished the match with 10 men following the sending-off of defender Sadate Ouro Akoriko but they managed to hold on for a memorable win.
