With reigning DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns recently entering into a new multi-year partnership with a global dietary company, here is a look at more PSL clubs who have entered into similar deals.

Chloorkop outfit Sundowns has achieved unwavering success over the last decade, as their men’s side has claimed six league titles amongst other domestic and continental trophies. Their women’s team has recently made history by winning the inaugural CAF Women’s Champions League last month.

Who has been doing business?

It appears that this success has caught the eye of Herbalife, a major dietary company, who have now entered into a new partnership with the South African football giants.

Sundowns are not the only ones making big moves. AmaZulu has also confirmed their partnership with automotive company Mistubishi, who have given them a number of big vehicles, including 4x4s and SUVs among others.

That was not the only deal struck by Usuthu this year, as they also secured a collaboration with Thule, a company that deals with outdoor and transportation products, such as luggage and cargo.

Another KwaZulu-Natal side announced a new partnership last month, with Maritzburg United revealing that their travel needs for the 21/22 season will now be taken care of by FCR Fleet Solutions!

Baroka FC also secured a partnership with a beverage and sports drinks company called GO&FUN South Africa - click through the gallery to see more clubs who entered into lucrative deals in 2021.

Your thoughts, please?

Do you think Sundowns will successfully defend their DStv Premiership crown or will they be toppled by the likes of Kaizer Chiefs and Royal AM, who are currently keeping up the chase at the top of the log?
