Overseas-based South African star Bongani Zungu finally resurfaced on social media this week as he appeared alongside old friend Rulani Mokwena! Here's more!
The story
It appears that the Amiens midfielder took a lengthy break from social media as his hiatus was felt by many due to his undeniable popularity in his home country.
Zungu is often considered a polarizing individual as many adore him, while others seemingly would love to hate him. Nevertheless, the playmaker posted an image of himself and Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Mokwena as the two share a special bond that dates back to many years ago.

Ben 10
Affectionately known as Ben 10, the playmaker is a big admirer of Mokwena, who has achieved significant success since Zungu left Downs for Portugal in 2016. Since then, he has had stints in France and Scotland, and with his Amiens deal set to expire in June this year, it remains to be seen what's next for the maestro.
The wholesome bromance
However, when the 35-year-old coach was appointed as co-coach in 2020, Zungu shared a wholesome message for his friend:
"Never base your life decisions on advice from people who don't have to deal with the results. I am super proud of you Coach Rulani, I am 100% sure that u are going to make the most of this opportunity. Continue to rise Mourinho."
