Neymar ended his £78.6-million contract with Nike last month which brought plenty of speculation over where he would be heading next and the German brand has now confirmed their latest high-profile client.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward enjoyed a marketing dream with club and country who are both sponsored by Nike but he's set to don the Puma King boots along with several other marketing responsibilities.
He joins the likes of Diego Maradona, Eusebio, Pele and Johan Cryuff among the legendary football figures who were associated with the brand.
An iconic phrase was launched to mark the arrival of the global superstar in the official launch and Neymar explained the legacy of the legendary footballers associated with the brand swayed him towards accepting the endorsement.
"These were the KING’s of the pitch, the KING's of my sport. I wish to bring back the legacy that those athletes created on the pitch. They each played in PUMA, and each of them created their magic in The KING," Neymar said.
"Every time I lace my boots, my KING boots, I will do anything to achieve all of my dreams to honour my name and that of all those great ones who wore the KING before me. This will be my PUMA history. The KING is back!"
