Footgoal have compiled a list of the 10 most popular players that people have been looking for on Google in 2023.
As expected Ronaldo sits first with his name being searched on average 17.4 million times per month.
The Portuguese forward is also the most followed football player on social media as he has more than 800 million followers combined on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
Interestingly Luis Suarez is on the list with 1.7 million searches a month.
Lionel Messi ranks second. On a monthly basis, the term "Messi" is searched for an average of 13.2 million times.
Paris Saint-Germain superstar, Kylian Mbappe was also on the list with 8.5 million searches a month.
