Manchester City have released their new home kit for the 2023/24 campaign which celebrates the 20th anniversary of the club’s historic move to the Etihad Stadium.
The front graphic of the new Home jersey is inspired by the unique architecture of the stadium, in particular the four giant turrets visible from the outside of the stadium that form tonal stripes on the jersey.
The postcode of the stadium is displayed on the back of the neck to celebrate 20 years at City’s new home and the jersey features a white V-neck collar that is inspired by the first kit used in the new stadium, the 2003/04 Home jersey.
"Players and fans will hold special memories of moments shared there, so it’s fantastic that PUMA has taken inspiration from it for this year’s Home kit.
“I’m incredibly proud to have worn the Manchester City shirt and played during that debut season at the Etihad. I hope this year’s shirt brings back lots of memories for our fans, as it has for me.”
"The 20th anniversary of our move to the Etihad Stadium is a momentous occasion, celebrating the incredible rise of the club over that period. The new Home kit is a tribute to the incredible moments shared there and the unwavering support of the fans,“ said Marco Mueller, PUMA Senior Head of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel.
