
With Bayern Munich having signed a new sponsorship deal with Audi worth almost a billion rands per season, here's a closer look at which automotive companies the likes of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid also partnered with!
The story
The 2022/23 season marked a 20-year partnership between the German car-manufacturer and the club. With their previous agreement believed to be worth €35 million (R678 million) per season, the two-entities have since agreed on a bumper €50 million (R970 million) per season extension until 2029, according to Bild.

Audi also had a deal with Spanish giants Real Madrid, which expired last year, and Los Blancos swiftly signed a partnership with BMW in 2022.
Beamer now provides a lush range of electric cars to the players and coaches of the men’s and women’s soccer first teams, and the club’s basketball squad, including the iX, i4, iX3, i7 and iX1.
Meanwhile, FC Barcelona also penned a lucrative partnership with CUPRA in 2019, with the deal set to expire and the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
