Ajax beat Thanda easily

accreditation

The goals were scored by a Nathan Paulse brace and a goal by Brett Evans.

The home side dominated the match especially during the first half and thoroughly deserved the three points after defending well and should have added to their goal tally in the second half.

The first goal was scored in the 28th minute when Evans scored directly from a free-kick, when Mkhanyiseli Siwahla pulled his head away from the ball at the last second, fooling keeper Lance Niewenhuis, the ball going directly into the goal to give Ajax the lead.

In the 34th minute Paulse scored the first of his goals when the Thanda defence failed to clear the ball and he scored with a shot inside the 18-yard area.

Paulse scored again on the stroke of half-time with a header from an Evans corner.

In the 90th minute Ajax should have scored when substitute Sifiso Vilakazi rounded keeper Niewenhuis and missed an open goal, somehow shooting wide.

The win sees Ajax top of the table on 35 points while Thanda are near the bottom on 19 points.
