Ajax Cape Town beat Black Leopards

accreditation

The drama of the match was the sending off of Alpheus Kekana of Black Leopards, who was booked for unsporting behaviour in the 27th minute, and then received a second yellow just before half time.

Kekana’s sending off prompted Ajax to adjust their tactics, and they brought on Aiden Jenniker and Clayton Daniels for Mkhanyiseli Siwahla and Bevan Fransman at the start of the second half.

Ajax fought back well and were rewarded in the 52 minute when Nathan Paulse drilled a ball into the bottom right of goals from the centre of the penalty area.

Bryce Moon’s consistent efforts on the wing were paid off when Nathan Paulse headed home his cross from the centre of the penalty area in the 67th minute.

Leopards’ goal came from Fisher Kondowe in the 39th minute, a sharp right-footer into the bottom left of goal.
