The home side were the better looking side and had the better scoring opportunities in both halves, United defended well and will probably be happy with the draw.
During the first half Thembinkosi Fanteni (pictured) and Franklin Cale had chances but failed to make them count.
In the second half Ajax’ Brazilian defender Eduardo Ferreira had his header saved by keeper Denis Onyango.
Ferriera had an outstanding match for Ajax and was clearly the best player on the field.
The draw has Ajax in the top half of the table on 13 points while United are in the bottom half on 5 points.
