The Spanish international returned to Los Blancos following a two-year stay at Italian champions Juventus, as the Galacticos triggered their buy-back clause for the talented 23-year-old.

Rumours of a loan spell with a number of English clubs have surfaced in the media, yet Morata – who yesterday landed in Montreal to join his Madrid teammates on their preseason camp – says he’s relishing the prospect of donning the Madrid shirt once more.

“It is incredible to be here again,” he is quoted as saying on his club’s official website. “It is a dream come true and I can't wait to get started. I can't wait for tomorrow to arrive so we can get to work. Zidane works hard and does a lot of physical work.”

The striker, who netted 27 goals and contributed 19 assists in 93 matches for Juve, thanked the Serie A side for the experience gained while in Turin.

“I have had two great years at Juventus,” he said. “I learned a lot and I can only be thankful because without this experience I would not be here”.
